Project Overview
EHK Hydro Electric participated in the electrical and mechanical assembly as well as commissioning activities of the Subsonic Wind Tunnel project operated by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
The work was carried out to ensure reliable operation of the wind tunnel and included the integration of power distribution and drive systems.
Scope of Work
- Electrical and mechanical assembly activities
- Installation of variable frequency converter systems
- Installation of 12 kV and 36 kV switchgear systems
- Assembly and inspection of the step-up transformer
- Installation of the asynchronous induction motor
- System integration and functional testing

Activities Performed
EHK Hydro Electric actively participated in the installation and commissioning of the main power and drive systems of the wind tunnel facility.
The work included assembly of the variable frequency converter, 12 kV and 36 kV switchgear systems, step-up transformer and asynchronous induction motor.
Following the installation activities, electrical and mechanical inspections were carried out, system integration was verified and commissioning tests were successfully completed.

EHK Hydro Electric contributed to the successful commissioning of the facility through its experience in high-power drive systems, industrial electrical installations and commissioning activities.
